Course Description:

The Texas All Lines Adjuster Course is a comprehensive 40-hour online training program designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed for obtaining a Texas All Lines Adjuster license:

​

1. Comprehensive understanding of claims practices, including the investigation, evaluation, and settlement of insurance claims across various lines such as property, casualty, and commercial.

2. Familiarity with responsibilities concerning claims handling, compliance with regulations, and ethical considerations.

3. Proficiency in interpreting and applying the Standard Fire Policy and additional policies in insurance claims related to perils and facts of loss.

4. Competence in handling auto insurance claims, including assessing damages, determining liability, and negotiating settlements.

5. Capability to manage commercial insurance claims, including coverage analysis, loss assessment, and policy interpretation for businesses.

6. Understanding of licensing requirements for Texas All Lines adjusters, including regulations, continuing education, and professional conduct standards.

Course Duration and Format

The 40-hour course is structured as follows:

- 10 hours of self-study, including reading, terms fill-in-the-blank, policy reviews, and knowledge checks.

- 30 hours of classroom material

 delivered through lectures, video, and computer-based instruction.

Classroom Method:

The course will be delivered in a classroom setting and via Zoom. The content will be presented using a combination of the following methods:

1. Lectures: Each chapter will include pre-recorded video lectures delivered by experienced insurance professionals and subject matter experts. These lectures will be designed to be engaging and informative, with visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive elements to reinforce key concepts.

2. Video Content: In addition to video lectures, the course will incorporate various video content to illustrate complex processes and procedures. These visual aids will enhance the learning experience and facilitate a deeper comprehension of the material.

3. Readings and Reference Materials: Extensive reading materials, including digital textbooks, policy documents, and supplementary resources, will be provided for each chapter. These materials will serve as valuable references for students to review and reinforce the concepts covered in the lectures.

4. Knowledge Checks: At the end of each chapter, students will be presented with a series of multiple-choice questions designed to assess their understanding of the material. These knowledge checks will provide immediate feedback, allowing students to identify areas where they may need further review.

5. Case Studies and Scenarios: Practical case studies and scenarios will be incorporated throughout the course to simulate real-world situations that adjusters may encounter. Students will be challenged to apply the knowledge gained from the course material to analyze and resolve these realistic scenarios, fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills.

 

6. Progress Tracking:

1. All students must be present and visible at all times, except during breaks and lunchtime. Attendance will be taken continuously throughout classroom time by an instructor to ensure all students complete the required classroom time. Students attending via Zoom must access the class from a device equipped with a camera, and their camera must always remain on, except during breaks and lunchtime.

2. At least three students and an instructor must be involved in each presentation of the course; however, in circumstances involving Zoom remote presentations, all students and the instructor do not need to be in the same location. In the case of presenting recorded or text materials, the instructor making the live course presentation does not have to be the same instructor included on the recorded presentation or who prepared the text materials.

3. Question and answer and discussion periods must be provided by the instructor who is present for the entire in-person classroom or Zoom classroom course presentation to students which shall allow for immediate inquiries and responses of students to the instructor.

4. The instructor sets the course pace and does not allow students to complete the course independently.

2. Knowledge Checks to ensure understanding of the following Policies

  1. NFIP Dwelling Form Standard Flood Insurance Policy

  2. Texas Department of Insurance Homeowners Form A Policy

  3. Texas Department of Insurance Homeowners Form B

  4. Renters Policy FP-7954

  5. Texas Personal Automobile Insurance Policy

3. Terms- 122 fill-in-the-blank terms that must be found and completed before the classroom date.
